Last year Xiaomi introduced the Mi Pad 2 that comes with the Android operating system – while also offering the choice of Windows 10 operating system. At first, only Android version offered, and starting this January 26, Xiaomi also start sales the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 with Windows 10 operating system. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 runs with an Intel Atom X5-Z8500 quad-core 2.2 GHz chipset. It will come with a 2GB of RAM across a 7.9-inch 2048 x 1536 resolution display. The Windows version of Mi Tab 2 tablet is only available with 64GB option. This tablet also support USB Type-C charger, and battery capacity of 6190mAh.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will begin offering Windows 10 priced at 1,299 yuan (~RM845). The retail price is same to Android 64GB version – while offering the user the option whether they required Windows 10 or Android operating system. But, for Mi Pad 2 16GB variant Android version, its price at 999 yuan (~RM650).
For now, it is not known yet when Xiaomi will start offering it in Malaysia and offer both version (Windows 10 and Android) or not. As the first generation Mi Pad sales have been stopped, it is possible for us to see it launched in Malaysia in the coming months.
